Mark B. Rinder
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mark B. Rinder joined Safeguard in 2007 as the company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mark is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of the company's Finance and Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Property Tax matters.
With more than 25 years of financial and operating executive experience, Rinder has extensive expertise in strategic financing, acquisitions and business planning at emerging growth companies. He served as Chief Financial Officer at AirTran Airways, Chamberlin Edmonds and Club Med, Inc. He also held executive leadership positions with Marriott International and started his career with Price Waterhouse in New York City. Rinder has also been the President and Founder of Rinder, Inc., an Atlanta-based boutique financial services and consulting firm. In addition, he serves as a Senior Partner with Tatum, LLC an executive services firm focused on the office of the Chief Financial Officer.
A graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia , Rinder passed the CPA exam on his first attempt and was licensed as a CPA in Maryland and recently was licensed in Georgia. He has also attended executive education seminars at The Wharton School of Commerce and at The Harvard Business School.
Rinder was Chairman of the Board of Directors of AID Atlanta for over five years, a member of its Executive Committee for ten years and was previously Chairman of its Finance Committee for six years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of AID Atlanta from 2003 to 2014. He is a member of Leadership Atlanta, graduating with the Class of 2011 and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Cushman & Wakefield CFO Roundtable and the Financial Executives Networking Group.
