

Chief Financial Officer
Mark B. Rinder joined Safeguard in 2007 as the company's Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mark is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of the company's finance and accounting functions. With more than 20 years of financial and operating executive experience, Rinder has extensive expertise in strategic financing, acquisitions and business planning at emerging growth companies. He served as Chief Financial Officer at AirTran Airways, Chamberlin Edmonds and Club Med, Inc. He also held executive leadership positions with Marriott International and started his career with Price Waterhouse in New York City. Rinder has also been the President and Founder of Rinder, INC., an Atlanta-based boutique financial services and consulting firm. In addition, he is a Partner with Tatum, LLC the nation's largest and fastest growing executive services firm focused on the office of the Chief Financial Officer.
A graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia , Rinder passed the CPA exam on his first attempt and was licensed as a CPA in Maryland. He has also attended executive education seminars at The Wharton School of Commerce and at The Harvard Business School .
Rinder is a member of the Board of Directors of AID Atlanta , Chairman of its Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee since 2003. He is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth , the Turnaround Management Association, the National Funding Association and the Financial Executives Networking Group . |
