Jim Johnson

Vice President of Human Resources

Jim Johnson joined Safeguard in May 2016 as Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Jim is responsible for the day to day management of the company’s Human Resources functions. With nearly 25 years of Human Resources experience, Jim brings expertise in recruiting and retention of employees, employee relations, and training and development. Jim joins Safeguard after a long retail career with various Human Resources responsibilities at both Neiman Marcus and Federated Department Stores.

A graduate of Auburn University, Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a major in Economics. In addition, Jim is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) since 2007 and Certified Professional (CP) through the Society of Human Resources (SHRM) since 2015.
