Chief Operating Officer
In 2004, Ken Finlay joined Safeguard as a District Manager. Throughout his years of service, Ken has excelled in several operational positions, with increasing scope of responsibility. In 2016, Finlay was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations for the entire portfolio of Safeguard Self Storage facilities. In 2021, he was promoted again to his current position as Chief Operating Officer for the company.
With more than 30 years of operating experience, Finlay has developed extensive experience in property management, recruitment, and new store development, as well as budgeting, forecasting and analyzing store results. Finlay is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Safeguard’s expanding portfolio, currently consisting of more than 75 stores in 6 states.
Finlay attended college in Southern California where he majored in Criminal Justice and began his career as a police officer.
